Smart connectivity

8 x M12 A –coded ports for the flexible configuration and connection of digital inputs (e.g. sensors) or digital outputs (e.g. actuators) allow an efficient wiring concept with short cable lengths for the connection of different devices.

LioN-Power modules replace complex parallel wiring, saving space in the cabinet.

An easy and smart integration is possible due to the offered EDS device description file.

Hardware features

LioN-Power Modules have a very compact housing design with following dimension (W x H x D): 60 mm x 31 mm x 200 mm

These IP67 and IP69K rated fieldbus modules are an important component for various machine and system installations. The modules have a resistant metal housing and rugged design which is also very resistant with regards to shock and vibration.

LioN-Power I/O Module 16DI

Belden’s LioN-Power Digital I/O module 0980 ESL 311-121 for the connection of up to 16 digital inputs is ideally suited for harsh industrial environments due to its fully potted electronics and its temperature range from -20°C to +70°C. Despite the sturdy construction, the module series has compact dimensions and a low weight.


The integrated 2-port Ethernet switch of the modules allows for a bus or star topology for the EtherNet/IP network to be set up. The implemented device level ring protocol (DLR) enables the design of a highly accessible network infrastructure. Furthermore, these modules have a high performance and fast transmission speed. If QuickConnect is enabled, the modules has a start-up time of <500ms which is ideal for e.g. tool changing applications.
