The solution consists of single/dual channel I.S. Safe Isolators suitable for installation in Safe Area or Hazardous Area (Zone 2/DIV. 2) and input for Zone 0 / Div.1. Each Isolator is mounted on N.2 Termination Boards ref.TBE-D5016-TRI-012 (16 slots) 1XTBE for dual channel modules, 2XTBE for single channel modules and the connection with the TRICON-CX is realized by the system cables ref.4X00226-3xx. The I.S. and SIL3 rated Isolators, such D5031S/D5031D and D5037S/D5037D, have the Load Fault Detection (Short/Open circuit) for both proximity sensor and switch equipped with end of line resistors: the fault in the field is directly mirrored to the TRICON-CX DI. The Out 2 of D5031D can be programmed as Fault detection Out.

The fault value is read by TRICON-CX AI card.
