Overview
Push data from your SCADAPack RTU using MQTT Protocol
The SCADASuite MQTT application lets you push data from a SCADAPack RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) to the cloud using the MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) protocol. MQTT implements lightweight publish/subscribe messaging transport and is mainly used in Machine to Machine (M2M) or Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
Reasons to Use MQTT
Unlike traditional SCADA protocols, like Modbus, MQTT lets you push data from the field device to the host. This allows for efficient use of the communications channel, and also let's you capture data immediately after it changes, instead of waiting for the next poll.
Using MQTT allows you to collect high resolution data from your industrial processes to drive advanced analyses like Machine Learning.
MQTT allows you to collect data directly from your SCADAPack RTUs, bypassing operational systems like SCADA, and breaking down silos within your organization.
