By combining open data and measurement samples, our predictive map of the sound environment integrates all noise sources in the city: traffic, public transport, bars, clubs, restaurants, schools, industries, shops, etc.
From these geo-localized sound sources, our algorithm calculates the external sound environment, combining a propagation model with an innovative analysis of the noise annoyance related to psychoacoustic research.
Several criteria of discomfort, going beyond the only sound level, are used, to produce a scale of the sound environment more comprehensible than the scale in decibels, and closer to the real feeling of the local residents.
