Situational awareness capabilities

Graphical objects are designed to cater situational awareness capabilities to the operator ensuring effectiveness and higher productivity. The animated Genie objects displays the necessary status and details about the equipment and process.

The Faceplates provide detailed information about the equipment.

Situational awareness capabilities

Aeration control

The function controls the amount of dissolved oxygen secondary stage treatment of wastewater. Aeration control is done based on the DO (dissolved oxygen) content in the water and the amount of ammonium present in the water.

  • Manages up to 5 aeration zones
  • The zone management – zone prioritization is based on Ammonia
  • The Oxygen level is controlled per zone
  • Pressure Control to manage blower station
  • Operator can perform aeration based on multiple strategies predefined in the template

    Dual media filter

The dual media filter is used for filtering water in desalination/ wastewater treatment plants. The major functions involved are filtering, backwash, and short-flush.

Operator can perform filtration based on multiple strategies predefined in the template.

    Queue function

The Queue block takes requests for up to 32 devices or systems and stacks them in an order depending on which request was sent first (FIFO basis: First in, first out) and its priority to enter to the list.

The queue block can work in two different modes :
  • For eight devices where user has to create a refine logic to assign priorities for the devices.
  • With filter for handling backwash sequence where a common resource is used.
  • Queue function

    Reverse Osmosis (RO) Function

Reverse osmosis (RO) this block is used in water purification process that uses a partially permeable membrane to separate ions, unwanted molecules and larger particles from drinking water.

CIP - To overcome the fouling problems, chemical cleaning in place (CIP) is applied to restore the original RO performance, CIP is a closed system where recirculating cleaning solution is applied (often with nozzles) that cleans, rinses and sanitizes equipment.

    Flow calculation

This object calculates the flow discharge in the open channel for various channel constructions.
